Call for MIH Research and Poster Presentations

The National Association of Mobile Integrated Health Providers (NAMIHP) invites submissions for research and poster presentations at the upcoming MIH Summit. Submissions should address advancements, practices, or evaluations in mobile integrated health and community paramedicine, including (but not limited to):

  • Clinical and Nonclinical Interventions
  • Population Health and Epidemiology
  • Health Services and Operations
  • Educational Initiatives
  • Economic Impact
  • Quality and Performance Improvement
  • Other topics may be considered as relevant to MIH/CP Innovation or Practice

Poster Session Guidelines

Posters provide a visual, informal opportunity to present unique services, innovative programs, or research findings to industry professionals. Posters should feature program highlights, key data, and visual aids (e.g., graphs, photos, diagrams) and will be displayed on a board provided by the association.

Presenters must be registered for the NAMIHP MIH Summit, February 16-18, 2025, and available at designated times to discuss their posters with attendees.

Peer Review: Abstracts will undergo review by the NAMIHP Research Committee.

Abstract Structure & Requirements

Submit abstracts via the designated site by 11:55 PM EST, Monday, January 13, 2025. Abstract submissions should include:
  • Overview: Brief background for clarity
  • Concise MIH/CP program descriptions
  • Expansions of healthcare access
  • Key policies/procedures/Personnel used to operate and sustain the program
  • Relevance to mobile healthcare providers
  • Purpose & Objectives: Clear statement of the purpose, research questions, study objectives, and/or hypothesis as applicable to the study design.
  • Methods: Detailed description of the scientific methods, including study design, setting, participants, interventions, or observations.
  • Results: Comprehensive summary of results with enough detail to address research questions or hypotheses, including relevant statistical data (e.g., p-values, confidence intervals).
  • Conclusion: Conclusions based on the results, noting any key limitations where necessary.

Presentation and Awards

Accepted abstracts will be selected for poster or oral presentations.

Presenters must be registered for the NAMIHP MIH Summit, February 16-18, 2025, and available at designated times to discuss their posters with attendees.

Awards will be presented at the NAMIHP MIH Summit Closing Session on February 18, 2025, to recognize top presentations or posters.

Please note that the winner will not receive reimbursement for rideshare or taxi services, daily spending stipend, any additional food expenses, or any other expenses not explicitly outlined here. Hotel accommodations will be reserved by the Scholarship Committee and award recipient will receive confirmation details upon award announcement. Awardees will book their own travel arrangements and submit receipt details.

While applicants will not receive payment or compensation for any submitted photos and/or videos, creators will be cited as the author henceforth whenever photo or video content is utilized.

*Employees or leadership representing the National Association of Mobile Integrated Healthcare Providers, Atrium Health or Atrium Health affiliated organizations, including Advocate Health or Wake Forest employees, or those representing Quick Med Claims, will not be considered eligible for this scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY

Awardees may be individuals, business entities, agencies, or other organizations. The MIH Advocacy Scholarship will be awarded to one (1) individual who is named as Primary Presenter at the time of form submission. Business entities, agencies, or organizations are not eligible for scholarships. NAMIHP membership is encouraged, but not required. Individuals should be interested in promoting mobile integrated healthcare and/or community paramedicine for the purpose of improving community health, health outcomes, and access to care.
